(designed by Bernhard Langer) The many trees adorning Bad
Griesbachs most recently established 18-hole (par 71) course give the
course the impression of being far older than it really is. Although the course
is next to the Beckenbauer Golf Course there are nevertheless differences
between both of these challenging, first rate golf courses. There are for
instance far fewer flood channels flanking the course. The fairways are more
spread out among the Rottal landscape. The fairly hilly fairways and hand mown
greens give the Jaguar Golf Course a particularly special flair. Of particular
interest are a traditional 90° dogleg and the 13th hole the 145 metre long
par 3 fairway of which is topped off by a green located on a peninsula. A
spectacular but nevertheless achievable strike up to the flag. The final
challenge is provided by the fairway leading up to the 18th hole: a long par 4
with a difficult final strike over water to the sheltered green. |
